A planning application has been submitted for 120 homes on the northern edge of the village of Kempsey in Worcestershire. studio | REAL prepared the master plan and an accompanying Design and Access Statement for Lioncout Homes following a community consultation.

The Kempsey is a village and parish of some 3,000 people in the district of Malvern Hills, Worcestershire in the West Midlands. The aspiration is for a village extension that will form an attractive and sustainable place to live, and makes a positive contribution to the village and surrounding landscape.

The proposed development comprises 120 dwellings on a developed area of 3.4 hectares within an overall application area of approximately 7 ha. The remaining area, over half of the application site, would be retained as landscape which would be enhanced to create a variety of habitats, be publicly accessible and include a community orchard and children’s play facilities.
